The CDL-313 24 Bit, 96K Mix-down or transfer of digital recordings from on manufacturer's digital recorder to another's ins't always straight forward. Some manufacturers' Digital Work Stations, sound Cards or DAT recorders have only S/PDIF outputs, and some offer only AES/EBU inputs, or vice versa.
The CDL-313 by Hosa is a high quality, digital link, allowing simultaneous transfer of two channels of digital-audio in either to both directions between AES / EBU (XLR) and S/PDIF (RCA). Now, even though some digital recorders and work stations have only RCA-type S/PDIF connections, and some have only XLR-type AES/EBU connections, you can still make transfers without leaving the digital realm.
